What is “It”?
When adversity hit Job’s life all he could see was the rubble and it absolutely overwhelmed him as he curled up in a ball of pain. He was consumed with the hurt and confusion of the moment.
This may describe the situation you are in right now…
It may be the doctor’s report just received.
It may be the divorce papers that were delivered.
It may be the news of cutbacks at work.
It may be the phone call from the police department.
Whatever “IT” is, consumes your thought life.
We’ve all been there. “IT” keeps us awake at night.
“IT” is the topic of discussion around your house.
“IT” pretty much captivates you and you don’t have the key to get out.
We’d like to think we can flip a switch and put it out of thoughts for awhile but it isn’t that easy.
Your life is taken hostage by these circumstances.
Unfortunately many pitch their tent here and waste away the rest of their life focused on an event…
In Job’s case, he realized after a bit of time that God was allowing him to go through this for a purpose.
Recognizing the hurt is normal… FOR A WHILE, but as we lift our eyes off our problems and redirect them to our Creator, a renewed sense of hope will be ushered into our lives.
Romans 8:28 says, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Receive and believe God’s Word and be assured He is doing something good in your hardship!!
Two weeks in a row now, teens have received Christ on Wednesday night!!! That NEVER gets old!!!
