Family Camp
What a great time we had as a church family up at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp this past weekend. It's interesting watching a bunch of people play Apples to Apples when they are tired and full of chips and salsa.
The chapels were focused around the "teamwork" theme and the similarities between being on God's team, which ALWAYS WINS (Colossians 2:15) and being on an NFL team.
Here goes...
Being on the team means you were bought with a price, a great price. You don't call the shots on what you want to do. Being on the team is great but with it comes responsibilites and expectations of conduct. It's what the Bible calls holiness.
Being set apart for the sole purpose of serving the One who paid a high price for you to be on the team. Just the appearance of wrongdoing on the NFL is grounds for discipline.
Man, that's strict!!
Who do they think they are??
